AGCY is short for Agency.
AGCY is an independent New Zealand consultancy working across ideas, problem solving, AI & automation, business, ventures, property and development.
The work doesn’t always fit neatly into one category. Neither do the problems. AGCY helps work out what to do next.
What AGCY works on
Ideas & Problem Solving
Investigating difficult problems, challenging assumptions and developing concepts. Exploring unconventional approaches, and turning loose thinking into something that can be evaluated.
AI & Automation
Use technology where it helps. Ignore it where it doesn’t.
- Working out where AI genuinely creates value, and where it isn’t needed
- Improving workflows and automating repetitive processes
- Connecting systems and improving the flow of information
- Designing AI-assisted workflows and exploring AI agents
- Prototyping ideas
- Reducing unnecessary administration
- Explaining what is now technically possible
Business & Ventures
- Business and process improvement
- New ventures, new concepts and business models
- Operational systems
- Commercial thinking and strategy
- Opportunities and acquisitions
- Project development and execution
Property & Development
- Property opportunities and site opportunities
- Development concepts and feasibility thinking
- Commercial assessment and development strategy
- Investigating alternative uses
- Project problem solving and coordination
This is consultancy and commercial problem solving. AGCY does not provide real estate agency services.
The areas overlap, and that’s intentional. Some of the most interesting work sits between them.
How engagements begin
With a conversation, not a proposal. Tell us the idea or the problem, as loosely as you like. You don’t need a formal brief.
If it’s something we can contribute to, we’ll say so and talk about a sensible next step. If it isn’t, we’ll say that early.
Selective by design
AGCY takes on selected engagements where it believes it can genuinely contribute. Sometimes that means saying no. Sometimes it means concluding that an idea shouldn’t go ahead, which can be the most useful outcome.
Independent and discreet
AGCY is privately owned and independent. Many engagements are commercially sensitive, so AGCY doesn’t publish clients or projects, and enquiries are handled with discretion.
How this website handles personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy.
