AGCY

AGCY. Have an idea? Have a problem?

Perhaps we should talk.

A private consultancy in New Zealand.

What AGCY is

AGCY is a private consultancy. It works selectively with people and businesses who have an idea worth exploring, a problem that needs solving, or an opportunity worth pursuing.

AGCY doesn’t sit neatly inside one discipline. Neither do most worthwhile problems. About AGCY

Ideas, problems and opportunities

Ideas.

Something exists as a thought, but not yet as a plan. We interrogate it, test the assumptions and work out whether it deserves to go further.

Problems.

Something isn’t working. The obvious answers haven’t helped, or the problem was framed wrongly. We look again and find a practical way forward.

Opportunities.

Something looks commercially interesting, but it isn’t proven. We pressure-test the thinking and look at the commercial reality before anyone commits.

Four areas. Deliberately overlapping.

Four overlapping circles One circle for each area of work: ideas and problem solving, AI and automation, business and ventures, and property and development. The circles overlap and meet at a single point in the centre.
  • Investigate difficult problems, challenge assumptions and develop concepts. Turn loose thinking into something that can be evaluated, then find a practical way forward. Explore this work

  • Use technology where it helps. Ignore it where it doesn’t. We work out where AI genuinely creates value, then improve workflows, connect systems and prototype what’s worth building. Explore this work

  • Business improvement, new ventures, commercial thinking and operational systems. From the first concept through to execution. Explore this work

  • Property opportunities, development concepts and feasibility thinking. Commercial assessment, alternative uses and project problem solving. Explore this work

The areas overlap. That’s intentional. The centre is where problems that don’t belong to one discipline tend to sit.

Approach

We start with a conversation, not a proposal.

We work out what the problem is before we suggest what to do about it.

Some ideas should be built. Some shouldn’t. Knowing which is useful.

We say so early if we’re not the right fit.

Some work doesn’t need an audience.

Many of the ideas, problems and opportunities AGCY works on are commercially sensitive. We don’t need to publish every engagement, client or project to demonstrate what we do.

Conversations are handled with discretion. The detail of an engagement stays between the people involved, unless there’s a reason it shouldn’t.

How enquiries are handled

Not every problem is ours to solve.

AGCY takes on selected engagements where we believe we can genuinely contribute. Choosing well is part of the work.

Start a conversation.

You don’t need a formal brief.

Tell us the idea. Tell us the problem.

Tell us as much or as little as you wish.

All enquiries are treated with discretion.
